How to decorate the dining table with style. Centros de mesa, flores, jarrones,….todo eso ya lo sabemos, ahora queremos que quede de revista.
We all know what is typical for decorating the centre of our tables, but we never quite fit in or like the way it looks? On the other hand, we see the pictures in magazines and everything looks perfect. So in today’s Mobile Diseño post we are going to analyse different photographs so that you can see why we love the result, what the secret is to achieving it and how to reproduce it at home.
1. KEEP THE BASE IN MIND
When you’re choosing the best decoration or centrepiece for your dining room, first take a cold look: how is your dining room decorated? What’s on the walls? How will it look as a whole? Often we see very ornate dining rooms, where there is no need to overload with the centrepiece and it is better to leave something simple. Other times it’s the opposite: a simple dining room that needs colour and volume to create a perfect ensemble…
2. SIZE DOES MATTER
It’s clear that a big table means big decorations, but often it’s not so easy to determine if it’s the right size or not until you try it… We can use decorations we have at home to test and see if that size or volume works. In this case the extra long table and a lamp at a great distance, as well as a very sober decoration, allowed for these small vases so as not to lose the prominence of the tables and chairs.
3. FIND THE BALANCE
When you look at your dining room and think that something is missing or lacking, what exactly is it that you miss? All of this is important, because you need to look at the whole picture and analyse what your space really needs. If the wall is decorated and has large windows, don’t make the table take centre stage with a tall centrepiece. If you want to keep a very serene and simple chromatic range, a lamp and some chairs and get your choice right.
4. HIGHLIGHT YOUR STYLE
The pictures you fall in love with on the internet, your choice of decorative pieces, even the way you dress, are telling you what your style is. Do you like to mix colours and textures? Reflect all that in your decorating decisions, it will help you define your style and get your choices right. This dining room, without a doubt, speaks of a sober and elegant person.
5. AND WHEN IN DOUBT?
There are always the classics, such as a simple vase with fresh flowers, a few candles creating a set, vases and figures of different sizes, but in the same colour… Above all, dare to change, to try, to mix and match, until you find your perfect decoration!
And if you take these 5 tips into account, you will surely make you fall in love with your dining room again… What do you think of these suggestions?
